The Group Christmas Exhibition features a special collection of new works from Belfast artist Martin Cooke.
Martin has had a long and varied career exhibiting across Ireland since the 1970s. His initial success as a full time artist was in the medium of watercolour and included a sell out exhibition in Belfast and international success with a show in New York. In the Early 1990s Martins work shifted towards abstract expressionism. This, his first solo exhibition with the Leinster Gallery, celebrates another evolution of Martin’s style into his own brand of Pop Art. The exhibition features new paintings celebrating designer bags, shoes and accessories inspired by fashion giants such as Christian Laboutin and Dolce & Gabbana in addition to compositions featuring pop icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Andy Warhol.
