About the artist:
Anne Cooney was born in Longford. She studied life drawing at NCAD for two years before studying ceramics at RTC Athlone. Later she returned to NCAD to learn casting and mould making. In the past ten years she has appeared in several publications including, Sculpture Society Magazine and the Examiner. The artist has also taught clay sculpture and ceramics at St. Joseph’s School for the Visually Impaired.
Anne Cooney has had numerous exhibitions in galleries across Ireland, particularly in Dublin and Longford. Her work features in the collections of the NCAD President, ESB, the O’Connell Seirra Collection, Washington DC and St. Joseph’s School Drumcondra.
