About the artist:
Anji Allen was born in Galway but has been living in England for many years. She has spent time working in St Ives and has developed a very particular style of painting. Most recently she has focused on the depiction of kitchen utensils in her work. She uses a variety of media, etching into board to outline cups and bowls. The colours with which she works are neutral: pale greens, dark browns, creams and golds.
Collections of Anji Allen ' s work have been commissioned for hotels in Dublin and London . Her work is shown regularly at national fairs in England and Ireland and at galleries in and around London.
